Marketing Data and Analytics Internship

The Data and Analytics Intern supports the marketing team with analytical initiatives including the design and maintenance of data-driven platforms within the company. This position may also contribute to the development of digital strategies related to client procurement and retention including digital auditing, reporting, and strategy building, and various other tasks as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or other relevant field
  • In 3rd or 4th year of college graduate program or beyond
  • Prior industry experience is preferred

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional areas assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks by established deadlines.
  • Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems highlighted by data and analytics.
  • Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials to identify business problems, offer recommendations, and assist management with implementation of solutions.
  • Support leaders on projects designed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Analyze and brainstorm business goals, objectives, and needs within the organization, and the organization of client projects as assigned.
  • Participate in networking events with BMD leaders and other interns.
  • Participate in department meetings and events (weekly meetings to ensure team alignment, team building, etc.)
  • May be pulled in on projects as company needs and intern’s desire arise including but not limited to: website development, content planning and creation, and ad management.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA or higher required.
  • Interns must be enrolled in a four-year college/university or a Master’s/PhD program for the duration of the internship.
  • Effective verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills to deal with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential information to the highest degree.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once.
  • Entry-level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts throughout various forms of outreach.
  • Bonus: Entry Level understanding of CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Email Marketing Software, Etc.
  • Bonus: Experience using project management software for task assignment and time tracking.
